Welcome to the Dartington Parish Council website.
Dartington is a parish in the South Hams area of South Devon and at the 2011 census the parish population was 1753. The parish electoral ward has boundaries with the parishes of Staverton, Littlehempston, Harberton, Rattery and Totnes.
Dartington Parish Council is a body whose function is to discuss the community affairs of Dartington Parish. The Council can only do what it is empowered to do. To find out what these powers are, look on the powers and duties sub page.

The Parish Council serves the whole parish and holds meetings which members of the public can attend on the second Wednesday of each month (except August). These are not public meetings, but members of the public are welcome to attend and there is time set aside for public questions at the start of the meeting. Please contact the Clerk if you would like to speak, or ask a question at a council meeting. Full Council meetings take place in Dartington Village Hall, and usually start at 7pm. Please check the agenda for the start time.
Meetings are held in the Village Hall, Cott Road usually starting at 7pm. Agendas are posted on the parish council notice board and on this website 5 days before the meeting. You can have agendas emailed to you – please contact the Clerk.
The Annual Parish Meeting, which is a meeting for parishioners and is not a formal Council meeting, was held on April 18th 2018, from 8-9pm in the Village Hall. The previously arranged speaker was unable to attend so a Neighbourhood Plan Consultation was held instead.
