Steering Group

Although the Parish Council is ultimately responsible for the Plan and the final decisions made, the Steering Group is responsible for considering the overall aims of the Neighbourhood Plan and for devising a project plan and a consultation plan.

A Steering Group is a requirement for managing the Neighbourhood Plan.  Persons were nominated on 18th January 2014 at a public meeting and confirmed on 15th February 2014. The Parish Council approved the first Steering Group at its meeting on February 12th 2014.

Information about the Steering Group, and all aspects of the Neighbourhood Plan, is now on the Neighbourhood Plan website https://dartingtonnp.wordpress.com/.

The Steering Group Terms of Reference can be found here

The Steering Group initiated a number of task groups which each had a specific focus and Terms of Reference. Task group representatives attended the monthly Steering Group meetings until the Emerging Draft of the NP was published in March 2017. Following this, the Task Groups have met less frequently, but the Steering Group continues to meet to drive the plan forward. Meetings are open to all.

The task group structure as originally envisaged can be found via the link here DTon NHPlan – 25.10.14Task Groups+structure

There is more information on the task groups on the Task Groups page, but most information about the work of the Task Groups is on the Neighbourhood Plan website: https://dartingtonnp.wordpress.com/

Steering Group members as of 30.9.14 are here: DTon Neighbourhood Plan SG 30.9.14

The next steering group meeting will be April 30th 2018 5-7pm at High Cross House.
